"ism" is a suffix in many English words, originally derived from the Ancient Greek suffix -ισμός (-ismós), and reaching English through the Latin -ismus, and the French -isme. It means "taking side with" or "imitation of", and is often used to describe philosophies, theories, religions, social movements, artistic movements and behaviors. We’ve taken these commonly used terms and created a repeat transparent glitter pattern, intertwined with the word ‘isms’. This long sleeve shirt is meant to be worn underneath any of the t-shirts in the “ISMS” series and sort of a knowledge and contextual base layer. We added puff printed “ISMS” text on either side of the arm to add even more dimension and supply a basis for the ism shirt layered on top.
