“I DON’T NEED DRUGS I’M HIGH ON μύκης”
TRANSLATION … mykes (μύκης "mushroom")
You get what we’re saying here?
The English word fungus is directly adopted from the Latin fungus (mushroom), used in the writings of Horace and Pliny.
Grammatically the sentence is INCORRECT. But of course, this was purposeful. Mykes translates to (μύκης "mushroom") or (fungus). It’s our obvious callout to challenging the status quo. Mushrooms themselves historically have been controversial. We’re putting it to the proverbial man. But you or any other person would need some level of intelligence to figure that out due to the fact a singular word is derived from a Greek work as part of an etymology of another.
